Advanced Training

Open Bouting Practice

All Programs: Saturdays: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Open Bouting Practices are open to all fencers once you've completed the beginner program. This gives you the opportunity to get time on strip to practice the skills and tactics that your learn in classes and private lessons.

Conditioning Class

All Programs: Fridays from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

In our Conditioning Class, you will participate in games and races and learn exercises, stretches, and activities to help improve your stamina and endurance in tournaments. Following the approximately 1 hour session, there will be an open bouting window to continue to build on what you've learned.

Advanced Foil Program

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM

Exceptional Instruction

Our Advanced Foil Program is designed to help you reach the higher levels of foil fencing. Working with National Coach Yuanjing Wang, Olympian Hongyun Sun, and Coach Will, you will develop more advanced bladework, stronger footwork, and better tactics for tournament preparation.

Optimized Class Structure

Classes begin with a 15-20 minute warm-up and stretching, followed by games, footwork, hand work, and tactical instruction. Free Fencing follows immediately at 7:00PM and is an opportunity to apply what you've learned.

Advanced Epee Program

Mondays: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Wednesdays: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Personalized Instruction

Once you have your core fundamentals, you will develop a style of fencing that is all you own. Rather than trying to make you fit a mold, we are open to capitalizing on all unique, effective styles. We'll find your style, and expand, practice, and optimize it.

Situational Training

Common situations and frequent scenarios arise in fencing at every skill level. We aim to break down these opportunities to set you up for success by being calm and prepared act quickly and decisively. This practice is often in the form of drills during class, but can also be instructed through private lessons.

Additional Details

Each fencer's growth is determined, at it's core, by their dedication. Experience and determination will out-fence talent any day.

Also, in our combined century of experience, we've never seen anyone with a natural talent to fence. Everyone who's walked through our doors or fenced on the international level started as a beginner.

Anyone can do it.

You can do it.
